We recommend the gentle cycle, with your sweaters, but you may get away with adding them into the jeans’ load, as it goes from washer to drier. Com’ On In! Kimono. A Fenwick collection original design. Wonderfully machine knit in a yummy blend of baby alpaca and pima cotton: a basket-weave tweed-stitch that has a bit of body & lovely drape ‘n’ softness. It overlaps in front, and ties inside and out with self-ties, all soft and easy. We recommend a gentle water wash with mild soap, and lay flat to air dry.

Who among us has truly left their childhood stuffed animals behind? This sweater is for anyone who ever loved a fuzzy toy: A very functional kids’ sweater is adorned with a plush alpaca, looking like a cookie-cutter cookie that didn’t want to be left home. The sweater is a roll-neck pullover in a machine-washable blend of baby alpaca and pima cotton –warmer than cotton and soft enough for your favorite child. It proudly bears a soft-felted alpaca “cookie”, hand-stitched onto the front; right where it needs to be for a surreptitious cuddle or two, when the going gets tough. We carefully designed it to fit a growing child: roll the sleeves up a bit for now, and it will still fit next year. (Don’t forget to get one for the Teddy bear love in your life!)

Cookie Cutter Kids’ Sweater. Another great Fenwick collection original design. Available in Blueberry (with a light fawn alpaca) and Grape (with a creamy colored alpaca). Both colors work for either gender, and the sizing is very forgiving: gift giving made easy. Sizes kid2, kid4, kid6 will fit most kids ages 16 months through 6 years old. The sweater may be machine-washed gently; we recommend laying flat to air dry.

Intarsia Alpaca Logo Cardigan. An original Fenwick Collection design. This is a sweater with firm body, careful detailing, a tailored look, and a soft 'hand-feel'. As suitable for the show-ring as it is for the office, the alpaca-logo is knit into the body of the sweater ("intarsia") not just embroidered on. 100% baby alpaca, with tagua nut buttons (a renewable, natural resource). May be gently water-washed.

A somewhat boxy, classic fit, upper-hip length; it seems to fit everyone. Styled to fit over a "T" shirt, or turtleneck.

Remember us saying that alpaca fiber is strong? So of course you are thinking of tough, like canvas work pants. No, this strong fiber can be spun into a thread no heavier than a cobweb, which is what we did. And then, in order to make it even more smooth-and-wispy, we blended it with silk, and machine knit the luscious result into a long rectangular scarf, with all the density of a dragonfly's wing. You can literally read through it.

This scarf drapes, clings (ever so slightly, just enough to stay where you put it), and flatters. Wear it long and flow-y, around your neck and hanging down the front (to jazz up a simple top), or twisted into a fat rope, and used as a headband, or place it at your throat, and fling the ends over your back. It's a li'l bit funky, and a whole lot special. You don't need to be good at wearing scarves to manage this one.

Cob Web Scarf. A Fenwick Collection exclusive design. An ultra-light machine knit of 70% baby alpaca and 30% silk, in a long, narrow, rectangle. We suggest the gentlest hand washing, air dry flat. Any snags can readily be repaired by scooching the surrounding stitches back into conformity. (And if you have ever been caught without an appropriate gift to give, you will want to order several of these.)

Fireplace Stockings

“And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care.” These colorful holiday stockings are hand knit of 100% alpaca, an original Fenwick collection design. Soft, hefty, and large enough (26” x 6”) to hold a bottle of wine as a hostess gift, or bulging with enough small treasures to light up the eyes of any child in your life. Empty or stuffed, they add holiday cheer to your home.

Each is a unique design, in cream, red, or natural brown, with red and green details. Purchase one for $40 or a set of 4 for $120. Please allow us to choose colors.

In every adult's memory, there is one toy. Maybe it was a wooden truck, or perhaps a knit monkey. But if you came upon it, today, you would pause, and spend some fond moments with it, again. These little puppets (sized just right for your fingers) have such a quality. Each one is cleverly created by hand, knit and embroidered from genuine alpaca yarn (please don't confuse these with cheaper synthetic versions). The menagerie includes dozens and dozens of different animals. When the collection arrived at Fenwick Manor Farm, all semblance of work ceased, while normally-reserved people dug into the assortment, each topping the other with fresh discoveries. "Oooohh, this one's a lady bug! I'll trade you for the octopus! Ah, com'on!" (was uttered by an MBA, not normally known for such outbursts during the work-day). If you take these to work with you, don't expect any work to get done (maybe that's the point?).

Managerie Puppets. Handknit of pure alpaca yarn in a wide variety of shapes and colors, no two are just alike. The menagerie includes turtles, alpacas (both huacaya and suri, of course), camels, sea life, birds, insects, barnyard types, llamas, Christmas trees, and native people. A few have a long crocheted loop, suitable for neck-wearing; others have a short loop, ideal for hanging on the tree, or the bedpost. Please allow us to choose a selection for you. The puppets are well made of hard-to-find-fault-with alpaca yarn, but we suggest they are most suitable for children over age three. (And you grown-ups: let the kids play with them, for Pete's sake!)

Pacific Jacket

This lightweight, unlined jacket from Fenwick Collection has simple lines but is rich with style. The body and sleeves are slightly A-line so as to fit easily over tops, and flatter any figure. The jacket closes with a single chunky button, while an inner button adds security. Easy access pockets and sleeves that roll down or may be cuffed make it a topper you’ll grab over and over

Fabricated of alpaca with a bit of wool, the knit has been felted, resulting in a garment that is tougher than any sweater, as refined as a blazer, but has a touch of stretch for easy wearing all day. Wear it as a lightweight outer garment, or a sophisticated indoor look.

Please specify Espresso--deep, deep brown with hints of black and cream-- or Twilight, a blend of muted lavender and blue with shades of moss green and grey. Fenwick's Weather Cheater coat is made in the US of 100% North American alpaca fiber. It has been carefully designed to mimic the benefits of an alpaca's own fleece & will protect against cold, wind and severe weather for many seasons. The natural fiber allows the skin to "breath", reducing sweating and easing temperature fluctuation.
The Weather Cheater silently hugs the body against drafts, without crinkling or flapping. Its neutral scent is more easily accepted, doesn't interfere with bonding. The three sizes: newborn, youth and adult, have been generously sized to fit a range of animals shorn or in full fleece. Reflective patches make it easier to find your new cria or convalescent adult in low light.

Uses: The Weather Cheater may be used on newborns to guard against hypothermia: may be applied even before crias are fully dry. Support an older adult by complementing their minimal fleece: or aiding thin individuals to retain body heat. The Weather Cheater may also be used on freshly shorn animals or during a chilly transport.
Care instructions:  May be machine washed in warm -not hot- water, and air dried. We recommend perfume and dye-free detergents and no fabric softener.
Caution:  While Fenwick's Weather Cheater is made of breathable material, we do not recommend its use during warm weather, as heat stress could result. Please monitor the body temperature of any blanketed animal in ambient temperatures above 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
